This Hi-limit sensor is compatible with Hot Spring spas manufactured before 2002. It provides a safety cut-off if the water temperature becomes too hot due to a defect elsewhere in the control system.
The manufacturer recommends that you replace the temperature sensor at the time, as the two sensors have roughly the same life spans.
