This Balboa control valve is used in conjunction with a bypass circuit, to maintain the speed of water flow within the recommended limits for a Clim8zone heat pump. It is designed to be used with 2-inch pipes, and pumps with a maximum power rating of 1.5 kW.
If you are using thinner pipes, or more powerful pumps, or both, then you should use the high-velocity flow controller instead.
