This bulb is part of a UV-C water disinfection system, which irradiates the bacterial cells contained in the water passing through the device. It emits UV-C rays at a specific wavelength which have a strong bactericidal, virucidal and algicidal power, to disinfect your spa water.
It’s life spa is approximately 9000 hours, or one year of continuous use. After this time, the bulb may continue to emit visible light, but its output at the correct wavelength diminishes rapidly.
